Daybook 25

Outside my window- It's a really warm day, and the leaves are falling off the trees like crazy.

I am thinking about- Girls party with some friends this evening. We're gonna watch a movie and 'hang'. :)

From the kitchen- Relish and salsa are some of the things we're working on, and I'm going to make cookies for this evening- and a bunch of popcorn. :)

I am creating- Hairstyling counts, right? I made up a kinda interesting hair-do the other day. 

I am reading- 'The Shield Ring' by Rosemary Sutcliff.

I am hearing- My window is open, so I can hear the leaves falling to the ground.

I am planning- My outfit for this evening.

I am wearing- T-shirt, and a denim skirt.

My hair is- In curlers. I hope nobody comes to the door... :D

Around the house- The guys have been gone all week, working on a job- so it's just been us girls at home.

 I am wishing- Hmm... Fun time this evening? Nah, I don't even have to wish for that- it'll happen. ;)

Daybook 24

Outside my window- It was a rainy day. I love rainy days.

I am thinking about- I bought a be-a-u-ti-ful bedspread today. It's pink and red, and matches my bedroom perfectly. :)

From the kitchen- Clean supper dishes, I think.

I am creating- Nothing lately. :)

I am reading- Just finished 'Entwined'.

I am hearing- Pandora Radio. My soundtrack station. It makes me happy. :)

I am planning- I need to fix a hole in one of my stockings... :/

I am wearing- A black sweater and and tan knee-length skirt. And I wore an aqua scarf to town- 'cause it made me happy. :)

My hair is- In a knot.

Around the house- I'm kinda out of it- I was in town all morning, and I spent the afternoon/evening in my room reading my library book.

 I am wishing- I have a lovely new bedspread- why would I be wishing for anything else? (Yeah, I'm kinda easy to please...)

I've been a bad blogger lately....

This time of year is really busy, but I'm hoping that once the harvest season is over I can blog more frequently.
Until then, you'll just have to survive on my excessively interesting Daybook posts. ;)

Here's a random list of some of the things I've been doing lately;

• Went to the State Fair with my family.
• Went for a bike ride with the fam on Labor Day.
• Had ice cream cones on Said Biking Excursion.
• Making applesauce/juice.
• Making tomato juice.
• Freezing corn. 
• Went camping.
• Avoided getting poison ivy while camping.
• Went canoeing.
• Floated down a river, and went swimming at the loveliest sandbar ever.
• Babysat my niece and nephew.
• Writing on story ideas. 
• Picked all the green tomatoes before the frost. 
• Played ping-pong with friends. 
• Reading the Enchanted Forest Chronicles. Really fun books. :)
• Brought my heater back into my room. Yup- it's that time of year again.

Daybook 23

Outside my window- It's dark out. And cold. I would know- I spent the morning picking tomatoes, 'cause it's supposed to frost tonight.

I am thinking about- Hm. My mind is blank.

From the kitchen- Supper dishes are getting washed up- and it's FULL of the peppers and tomatoes that we picked this morning. (We also picked squash, corn and onions- but they aren't in the kitchen.) And there's dessert cooling on the stove.

I am creating- Last night I was messing around with beads and wire, and I created something that vaguely resembles a flower- I'm not quite finished with it though.

I am reading- Read 'Searching For Dragons' yesterday. It was a fun book.

I am hearing- I've got Pandora Radio playing.

I am hoping- To get a chance to read my other library book soon...

I am planning- To get rid of that silly 'I am hoping' question. It's too similar to the 'I am wishing' question. You have been warned. 

I am wearing- Finally changed out of my dirty garden clothes- I'm wearing a purple sweater and a floor-length floral skirt that I made when I was 13. Yup. It still fits. 

My hair is- I didn't do my hair today- I slept on yesterday's bun, and it was still presentable (for gardening, anyways!) so I just left it in.

Around the house- Oh dear. Do you really want to know? Ya sure? It's kinda messy. This time of year we're really busy with garden stuff, so the house doesn't get as much attention...

 I am wishing- Well, it'd better frost tonight after all the work we did today to get ready for a frost!

Outside my window- Blue sky and sunshine.

I am thinking about- Nothing in particular- today is a Muddled Thoughts kind of day. :D

From the kitchen- Mollie and I spent the morning cutting pears to dehydrate, and this afternoon we're going to cut and freeze corn.

I am creating- Yesterday evening I helped Mollie make a Wee Folk .

I am reading- I read my library book- 'Dealing With Dragons' in one sitting. Now I'm waiting for the next three books. :)

I am hearing- I turned on Pandora Radio this morning in the kitchen, and it's still going. :)

I am hoping- That doing the corn won't take too, too  long.

I am planning- Folding laundry, freezing corn, canning applesauce....etc, etc.

I am wearing- Aqua top with white cargo pants. And my apron- which I've been wearing a lot lately.

My hair is- In a Dutch Braid, and then coiled into a bun.

Around the house- Nothing out of the ordinary.

 I am wishing- Like I said- Muddled Thoughts. If my fairy godmother appeared right now, and offered me three wishes, I don't know what I'd wish for...
 Curly hair, maybe.
