The Common Sore Throat ~ mostly harmless, sometimes not...

It's that time of year again, school starts soon and the germ fest begins! Whether you or your child is complaining of a sore throat, this blend can be used for all. A common sore throat usually goes away in 24 hours but, if the tonsils don't do their job of trapping germs, preventing them from getting into the respiratory system and other parts of the body, infection can set in.

Here's a remedy to prevent a serious infection and knock a sore throat out of the proverbial park!

To see if your child throat or tonsils are infected have the open their mouth wide and press their tongue down with a spoon or butter knife. Say AHHHH!

If the throat is red and swollen, if there's white pockets on the tonsils, glands on either side of the throat are swollen, and your child is running a fever, you can bet infection has taken hold. If any of these symptoms are present start the Sore Throat Relief Blend.

Of course, if anyone is running a high fever, consult your physician.

As mentioned above, tonsils are meant to sweep infection from all the bacteria we take in through our mouths but even tonsils can get overwhelmed especially when immunity is sluggish.

Sore Throat & Tonsillitis Relief Blend

20 drops Lavender

30 drops Melaleuca

10 drops Ginger

4 drops Lemon

~ fractionated coconut oil

Add EOs to a 5ml (1/6 oz) glass roller bottle. Next, top off the bottle with fractionated coconut oil, snap on the roller top and gently blend by tipping the bottle upside down.

Roll the blend over the throat area 3x daily, for additional support massage the blend on the upper abdomen and upper back too. Continue the protocol until symptoms subside and beyond by 2 to 3 days.
