The EO Bar!

The EO Bar!
for bed, bath and beyond...

__________________________________________________________________

Consider The EO Bar the sequel to the DIY Travel Tin but more sophisticated.  Believe it or not, it took 3 EO companies to put this baby together...such a happy, useful collaboration!  Living the EO Life is fast and easy when you can keep your favorites within easy reach for lightning quick application!

Meet the Superstars!

nightstand * bathroom * office * purse * backpack

The EO Bar holds {four} 5 ml bottles, the perfect, affordable size to keep in all your favorite spots in the house, customize an EO Bar for every member of the family - they'll love having their own set of oils handy for a quick, convenient swipe throughout the day!

If you haven't used Young Living's Roller Fitments yet, you don't know what you're missing!  Their patented roller top has a steel ball bearing roller instead of a plastic one.  This allows for a smooth glide of evenly dispensed EOs ~ F A B U L O U S!

Their packaging shows you how easy it is to snap a roller fitment in place on one of your empty EO bottles!  Set the roller on top of the bottle opening and twist the specially designed cap down over the top.  Twisting the cap tight, snaps the roller top down into the bottle.  It's such a brilliant design!

Word of advice!  EO bottles with the letters sb on the bottom suit the fitments best!

I've also used fitments on 5ml bottles from Specialty Bottles with success but the fit isn't as consistent.

YL Roller Fitments consistently fit all 5ml and 15ml bottles from doTERRA and Young Living.  Spark Naturals bottles, very soon!

One of the things I love about Spark Naturals is their packaging! Their 4 pack of EO basics - Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint and Melaleuca come packaged in a great tin with precision cut foam.  Perfect for my up-cycling heart, and the keeper of...

Organic Sunscreen with EOs & Coconut Oil

Summertime is just a few weeks away, can you stand it??

It's time to put your EOs to work again, you'll want to be ready for that big sunny orb in the sky this summer.  Two Summer Rescue Sprays will help you replace the chemicals found in most commercially available sunscreens and sunburn aides.  Simple, whole and fragrant, essential oils combined with fractionated coconut oil will give you peace of mind that you're protecting and healing rather than hurting your skin.

EO SUNSCREEN!
Chemical Free
______________________________________________________

Unless you're a vampire, sunscreen is a summertime reality.

I've struggled with sunscreen use for years, I just don't trust the ingredients of most.  But I had a minor bout with skin cancer so I need to be more diligent.

Eo Sunscreen is a natural alternative that I can get excited about!  Helichrysum is a natural UV blocker and coconut oil blocks 20% of the sun's UV rays.  Lavender is the skin's BFF as a tissue restorative etc.

Eo Sunscreen isn't waterproof, apply often.

Tip #1:  EO Sunscreen is a fabulous sunblock for your lips too!  EO sunscreen doubles as an insect repellent, thanks to lovely Lavender!

SUNBURN RELIEF!
Sunburn Rescue
______________________________________________________

Yet another easy Summer Rescue Spray that you'll want in your beach bag!  Sunburn Rescue is a simple combination with many facets!  The Lavender and Peppermint combination is both healing and cooling for a blistering sunburn, is also one of my favorite combinations for a headache AND, great to massage into sore muscles!

In a 2 oz glass spray bottle combine:

- 20 drops Lavender
- 20 drops Peppermint
- fractionated coconut oil

Apply to sunburn as soon as possible!  Cooling Peppermint feels amazing on a hot sunburn!

Apply every 2 to 3 hours or as needed.  The aromatherapy of it feels as good to the senses as it does to the skin!

Caution:  Always test a small area of skin before spending a whole day in the sun ~ depending on your location and altitude, the sun's rays can vary in strength!

Tip #2!  After the sunburn has lost the heat, switch out Peppermint for Frankincense. Lavender and Frankincense can now work hand in hand for excellent tissue restoration. Continue spritz area of concern for up to one week.

Tip #3!
Mini Spritzers!

Top 5ml bottles (EO empties work great!) with a spray topper sold separately, drop a Mini Spritz of EO Sunscreen and Sunburn Rescue in every beach bag or back pack this summer.

Here Comes the SUN!

The Promise of Choice

Not your usual CW blog post...

Today I feel compelled to share a few thoughts about last weeks events because there was a shift that's changed my perspective of the trending essential oil community.  dT and a segment thereof have set my teeth on edge and I'd like to explain why...

For a few days on FB last week, the wolves were unleashed because I presented a much needed option that only another essential oil company could provide, another beautifully pure line of EOs, without the hyped up pricing and membership requirements.  If you'll open your minds to this, it's great news!  Therapeutic essential oil use is ON THE MAP, and I'll happily give dT and others the credit for this.  Now, even MORE people will be able to enjoy what you and I have the past few years.  Unfortunately, the dT faithful are angry and suspicious, taking the news as a personal threat, oh how this mindset speaks volumes.  But, I do understand this fear.  I had blinders on toountil I came online with my passion for EOs and the desire to build a business.

I've learned many things on this journey, especially now that I have my finger on the pulse of the need - EVERYONE needs the opportunity to bring healing essential oils into their homes.  We talk about being the healer in our homes, can you imagine not having the means to do so?  Thankfully, yes thankfully...more companies like SN are stepping forward without the hoops, rank games and explosive overhead of dT, keeping the price point down.  SN essential oils are every bit as PURE as dT oils, they are not a cheap version.

There is discord in the hallowed halls of dT, that actually is perpetuated by the MLM business model: "What if my team buys from SN and they don't make their $100+ LRP order every month?  How will I get my Power of 3 bonus?  I have to spend $100+ if I want that $50 bonus!  If I don't get my Power of 3 bonus, I won't be able to buy more oils.  I have to be able to budget in $125+ to get that free oil of the month because its FREE, I can't pass that up.  And I count on those LRP points to subsidize the purchase of more oils.  I'll do whatever it takes to jump rank, I'll spend MORE money, I'll get my people to spend MORE money.  The newcomer must not be trusted, Camp Wander must comply, dT must never be challenged!  This is wrong on every level and I'm waking from this trance at lightning speed.  It's like walking into the market and buying only the most expensive brands because all the other brands must be inferior.  Use your critical thinking skills, just like you do when shopping for anything else.

There's a great big disconnect in this EO community, many view choice as a threat.  But it's the American way, a basic right.  The promise of choice in this country is enjoyed by every one of us everyday, how you heal your family shouldn't be any different.

I do understand a living needs to be made, I get that!  Like many of you, I make my living sharing oils too.  But, ask yourself this question, what are you spending to be an essential oil user and/or business builder in an MLM company?  I can raise my hand right now with the answer, it's a lot!  Realize too, I don't burn through tanks of gas or plane tickets or time away from family to put on events either, I won't do it.  I do all my sharing from home, online.  I have never held ONE event and despite the initial doubt from dT leaders, it's proven to be more effective than the home party approach.  I listened to my heart not the hype, it never disappoints. The price, on many levels, of being an MLM essential oil user is too high.  dT counts on you to spend your hard earned money to get out there with a smile on your face and market their inflated prices AND be excited if you earn your $50 Power of 3 bonus.  If you're happy with this, wonderful!  I'm not here to change your mind, only to open a conversation that it's just not an affordable option for the majority.

Because I publicly shared another quality EO option for those who can't afford an enrollment fee and inflated prices all heck broke loose last week and the ruckus is still alive and well!  Rather than a blessing, it was mayhem.  But you know what?  I'd do it all again, I feel that strongly about the promise of choice.

Why are we so resistant to change?  Why are we threatened by something that's a force for good too, but with a different label?  What's wrong with using both companies products?  If you're feeling threatened by any of this, you need to understand why.  Shouldn't we be EXCITED that hundreds of thousands of people are discovering therapeutic essential oils and learning how to use them?  If you're truly an advocate of essential oils, you'll do whatever it takes to get the word out, EVEN if it means offering another option to those who need them.  I promise you, if your heart takes hold of this concept...your dT business (any business) will thrive!

Living a life of lack only attracts more of the same.

One more thing, because of what I do, I get to talk to people every day, all over the world - it's the most incredible experience.  In the last 5 days I've had dozens of dT IPCs contact me, grateful to be validated.  Like many, every month they worry about placing large enough LRP orders, many admitting that they too subsidize their oils with other brands in secret.  Again, you have a choice, no one is asking you to leave dT, just to see that it doesn't have to look a certain way.  Live the EO life as it's intended, with gratitude and JOY and wellness!

This is not betrayal ~ this is embracing the Greater Good!

So, what's next for Camp Wander?  A balanced use of essential oils that I've grown to trust.  It's a new day!

Much Love and Appreciation to EVERYONE!

Dogs Love Essential Oils Too!

Bart's Cousin...Gus!  Don't be fooled by the Halo :))

We're a bunch of dog lovers in our family!  They make us happy and love us no matter what!

Did you know you can treat your dog with essential oils much like you use them for yourself and your family?  You can!

Dogs tolerate EOs very well but just as humans vary in size, age and doses, so it is with dogs too.  Dogs can be treated aromatically, topically and internally.  When applying topically, a great choice is to massage oils into pads of paws and between toes.

__________________________________________________

This is Bart, our 6 month old Newf puppy.  He's a sucker for Lavender and Frankincense!  I put a drop of each on my palm and he licks it right up.

Dogs and EOs have an interesting relationship, they instinctively know what their body needs.  If you've ever heard of "muscle testing", most animals are capable of self muscle testing, a special intuitive ability.

To help you know what EOs you can reach for in times of need, here's a great list and few extra remedies you can refer to next time your furry friend is feeling under the weather or "bugged".

Make Your Own Signature Roller Bottles!

Ok, so I might have a thing for rollers!

For the month of April, I created an incentive for the Camp Wander team that I think is the next best thing to Lavender!  I thought you might like to know the source of which it comes hither to you...

Warning!

I'm about to mention Young Living, if you're squeamish, afraid of heights or closed minded, please click off ;)

5ml bottles shown

I can't remember how I found them, but they're brilliant.  The tops of the CW Signature Roller Bottles are called Roller Fitments.  This is a YL product sold through their site, {HERE} or ebay.  Instead of a plastic roller ball, the fitting has a steel ball bearing roller and it works loads better than the plastic ones!

...and I might be a tin lover.

If you haven't been to Specialty Bottle, you should go...now. It's an EO lovers worst nightmare in the most wonderful way.  I found 5ml green or blue glass bottles that work perfectly with roller fitments! I also found a selection of tins like the one shown above with a window which I like very much. {Click HERE}

If you're going to pack up a tin with roller bottles, keep the bottles from rattling around by picking up a roll of de Grip Superieur, fabulous stuff!

Cut a piece to size and lay it inside, no need to glue.

I found a roll at Costco but every Walmart and most super markets carry it too.

I gave you the sources, now enjoy a lighthearted how-to video.  You'll learn how to install the roller fitment...which is worth watching because there is a quick tip for the not so brilliant, such as myself.

And there you have it!  Quite painless, wouldn't you agree?  Are we still friends?
Hope so!  ;)

Oh you are going to L O V E these roller bottles!!
