11 random things...lemme see... 

 1. Once upon a time, my older brothers and I jumped into the lake in October, to prove to our cousin that Minnesotans are just as tough as Alaskans. 
2. Jelly beans. I love 'em. 
3. I had curls when I was a toddler. *sigh* Gone now. :( 
4. I hate avocados with a passion. Slimy, disgusting green things. Blech. 
5. I got ringworm when I was 11 from holding a wild baby rabbit.
6. I don't really like pearls. They're to perfect, and... round.
7. I own red & white polka-dotted shoes. Mhm. Be jealous. ;P
8. I don't like nuts in cookies or ice cream.
9. A spider crawled up my harp and down my back at my brother's outdoor wedding. Ick. 
10. I love thunderstorms. 
11. Green Tea ice cream is actually fairly good, imo. :)

1. Do you like thrift stores?

 Yes! I hardly ever shop anywhere else.

2. What's your nickname{s}?

 Bree, Breezy, and obviously- Haystack. :D

 
3. Have you given anybody a nickname? If so, what is it?

 When I was younger my besties and I would call each other by our names- spelled backwards. :)

4. Have you ever made scrambled eggs?

Yep. But I don't really like them much.

5. Pink or purple? 

Depends on the shade. I'll go with pink. 

6. Hats or scarfs?

 Both. 

If I have to choose, I'll say... er... both.

7. Do you like mustaches? 

It depends. In general I would say no. 

8. Do you have a mustache? 

Eh, no. 

9. Have any {not classic} books to recommend?

Oh, so many choices! I'm planning to do a mini-review of all the fictional books I read in 2011, so stay tuned. :D 

10. Do you sleep with your socks on or off?

Off. I only wear socks to bed if I'm really really cold.

My family. And my besties. :D

Sewed the clasp on my cloak- quite happy with the finished result. :D

Found this gorgeous dress at a thrift store. I'm going to have to do a little bit of altering to make it fit my modesty standards, but isn't it simply beautiful?? *happy sigh*

January 27-  Skiing

Skied from 10 to 3 today. It snowed heavily in the morning, but cleared up into a beautiful day in the afternoon.

My New Cloak

11 degrees. Brr...

I braved the cold to get some pictures of my cloak for ya'll.

I haven't bought a clasp yet, but other than that it's finished.

I used a Simplicity Costume pattern. 

If I'd known how easy it was to make, I'd have sewn one years ago! :)

I like it rather a lot. :)

January 19- Inspired.

After looking at so many lovely clothes from 'Merlin'- I decided I needed a cloak of my very own.

Merlin Costume Love

Just recently my sister and I discovered the TV show 'Merlin'.

  I. Adore. The. Costumes.

Here's a few of my favorites....

 

Gwen's purple dress. *sigh*

 The front of this dress looks hand embroidered- which is super cool, IMO. 

 Another gorgeous purple dress... 

Morgana's wardrobe is my favorite, though.

 I think it's the bright jewel-toned colors that makes me love all her clothes.

Beautiful green cloak... She also has a scrumptious red cape, and a purple coat/cape, but I can't find good pictures of them. :(

Overall, it's a pretty fun show- sorta cheesy at times, but I still like it. 

And did I mention it has gorgeous costumes?

Today I prettified the outside of an old Reader's Digest book. Step two will be to collage pretty stationary/pictures over the pages so I can have a pretty journal/thought book/thing. :)

Twisted Updo Tutorial

I've been meaning to post this tutorial for quite awhile now, but then I thought- "I'll save it for my 100th post!". And so I have.
Happy 100th Post To Me Etc, Etc.

I love this hair-do. It varies in looks most every time, but usually it will go up nicely, when nothing else wants to work.
That's my favorite sort. :D
