All Natural Bleach with Citrus Enzyme and Purify!

Oh boy, am I excited about this!

The versatility of Essential Oils never cease to amaze me.  If you change your way of thinking, almost everything you use on a daily basis whether it's cleaning, laundry, skin care or wellness can be enhanced with doTERRA essential oils!

Today's example was inspired by several different sources.

My sister graced my life with Citrus Enzyme Cleaner!  You can find out all about it on her website:  One Good Thing by Jillee

AND...

A tutorial on making Alternative Bleach from Jillee {Here}.  As well as another fab website, Grit.  This website has some great information about why we should steer clear of bleach.

As you will find out, commercially sold bleach isn't the safest solution.  If you spend time on the above sites, you'll learn just how dangerous bleach can be when combined with other simple and safe household products.  Actually, I was astounded!

Bleach is widely used to control skin infections.  A capful of bleach in bath water to help control the spread of infectious skin rashes.  There are better, healthier alternatives!

Before I move on, this is my two cents on the subject:  Use 3 to 4 drops of doTERRA Purify in bath water instead of BLEACH.  Purify Cleansing Blend consists of:  Lemon, Lime, Pine, Citronella, Melaleuca and Cilantro.  Your body and your planet will thank you!

How to Make Your All Natural Bleach:

In a half gallon mason jar:
  • 1  cup Hydrogen Peroxide
  • 1/2  cup Citrus Enzyme Cleaner  (for recipe and it's many uses!)
  • 8  cups water
  • 6  drops doTERRA **Purify Cleansing Blend

**Purify is dōTERRA®’s formidable blend of CPTG® essential oils designed to eliminate odors and other contaminates naturally, without toxic additives. Its refreshing aroma quickly eradicates unpleasant odors and purifies the air and environment with the essential oils of lemon, lime, pine, citronella, melaleuca and cilantro. For aromatic or topical use.

When I'm ready to wash whites, I give the bottle a little shake then pour approximately 1 cup of the All Natural Bleach into a hot water wash.  I let the load soak for up to an hour then finish the cycle.

I love it!

And there's more!  You can also use All Natural Bleach as an All Purpose Cleaner.  Mix 1 part All Natural Bleach to 4 parts water in a spray bottle and you're good to go in the kitchen and bath too!
