Fall Fashion Challenge - Thursday

Day 5- Polka Dots

After some deliberation I decided to just wear a polka-dotted shirt, and jeans- with a sweater 'cause it's freezing today! :)

It snowed yesterday evening, which made taking pictures outside even colder....

Outside my window- It's snowing. Lovely fluffy flakes. 

I am thinking about- Story idea. ^_^

From the kitchen- I s'pose we'll have to start supper soon.

I am creating- Writing, writing, writing... :)

I am reading- A book called 'Foundlings' -just started it, so I don't have an opinion about it yet. :)

I am hearing- Gunshots in the distance. Yep, it's hunting season.

I am planning- My outfits for the last three days of the fashion challenge.

I am wearing- 50s inspired outfit.

My hair is- 50s inspired- 'Rosie the Riveter'.

Around the house- I voted for the first time ever yesterday- but they'd run out of "I Voted" stickers, so I didn't get one! I mean- how disappointing!

 I am wishing- I want the lake to freeze before we get a bunch of snow- so we can have nice ice for skating!

Fall Fashion Challenge - Wednesday

Day 4 - Dress like your favorite era. 

The 1950s are definitely one of my favorite eras.

My skirt is actually a dress I made this spring, but I added a shirt and belt to make it look 50s-ish.

I found a 'Rosie the Riveter' hairstyle how-to on YouTube, and slightly modified it for my hair.

Today's challenge was to wear bold tights.

I love funky socks, so I had fun deciding what to wear today. :)

I dutch braided my hair, and then coiled it into a bun.

Fall Fashion Challenge - Monday

Today's challenge was to wear an unusual color combination.

I chose black & brown. 

 I never wear black and brown together...but I kinda like this outfit. :)

I wanted a "pop" of color, so I'm wearing my hot pink shawl/scarf that I got for Christmas last year.

My hair-do was a complete accident. It started out as a reverse roll bun, but when that didn't work, it morphed into this. :D

Fall Fashion Challenge - Sunday

Day One of the Fall Fashion Challenge. 

I'm super excited to be doing this. :D 

'Twas freezing outside when I got Lilia to take the pictures for me.

My Ring Of Power. It's a Paua shell- (pronounced pow-wah) hence the nerdy title.

 This is one of my favorite sweaters- I love aqua. ^_^
And unless I say otherwise- you can just assume that all my clothes are hand-me-downs, or from a thrift store. ;)

I did buy my accessories *gasp* brand new. And I made the hair flower. 

Daybook 30

Outside my window- It's a really sunny day, with just a few fluffy clouds in the sky.

I am thinking about- I'm kinda sore today... Either it's still from archery, or else I must play a meaner game of Dutch Blitz than I realized. Hmm...

From the kitchen- We're making sauerkraut today.

I am creating- On Monday, Morgan and I set up an archery target in the basement- so now we can shoot without having to freeze outside! :)

I am reading- I haven't done ANY reading this week either! (Unless reading something that I've written counts....)

I am hearing- Soundtrack music.

I am planning- /hoping to do some writing today... :)

I am wearing- Jeans, and a long sleeved knit shirt with a aqua/pink/blue floral-ish shirt over that.

My hair is- In a bun.

Around the house- My uncle from out of state is visiting- so we're having a mini family get-together tonight.

 I am wishing- That I hadn't drawn a picture I really like between two other sketches that I don't really care for...why does that always happen?
