February 1- Tea Party 

 

Had an awesome tea party with some friends.

Curls.

My hair-do.
I'm pretty sure my life would be so much better if I had naturally curly hair. ;)

My dress. ^_^
I added a piece of fabric to raise the neckline, and wore a shawl. At some point maybe I'll make a shrug or something.

Curly Updo

 When you have waist-length hair, curling any amount takes a really long time. Was it worth it? Definitely.

Curl the lower half of your hair.

(I used rag curlers.)

Put the uncurled top half of your hair into a bun. Make sure the front is smooth, and looks how you want it to for the finished style.
(I did fix that little piece of  hair that's sticking out, but it's driving me nuts every time I look at the picture.)

Pull all the curls up, covering the bun, and pin in place . I used a french twist comb in the above photo, but have since decided hairpins work better. :)

Shorten the curls to the length you want them, and pin in place.

You can leave the ends of the curls loose, or pin them down.
