Daybook 34

Outside my window- Cloudy skies. I think it was supposed to snow, but it hasn't yet.

I am thinking about- We've got a sickness going around... I've got a headache and feel kinda dizzy. :(

From the kitchen- Amanda and I made soup for lunch- still trying to finish up all our Thanksgiving leftovers.

I am creating- Made a list for Mum of Stuff I Want for my birthday/Christmas, this morning. :)

I am reading- Finished my Booth Tarkington book last week, and haven't read anything since then.

I am hearing- Christmas music. ^_^

I am planning- Christmas presents...

I am wearing- Floral skirt, and a pink top.

My hair is- In a low bun.

Around the house- We got our Christmas tree on Saturday! Morgan and I sawed it down, which was rather exciting 'cause I'd never cut down a tree before. :D

 I am wishing- I want to feel better, please?

Daybook 33

Outside my window- The snow is melting and it's really warm out- I just got in from taking a walk.

I am thinking about- Thanksgiving plans for tomorrow- it's gonna be fun! :)

From the kitchen- I made squash/dried tomato soup for lunch. It tasted rather awful at first, but after I added more seasonings it was pretty good.

I am creating- On Saturday I knit a hat. In one day. It was a pretty easy pattern, so I was able to knit it without any help from Mum, which was rather exciting for me. :D

I am reading- 'Image of Josephine' by Booth Tarkington.

I am hearing- Pandora radio, again. :)

I am planning- I've been trying to decide what sorts of Christmas presents I should get for people...

I am wearing- A pink/white/black shirt and a black denim skirt.

My hair is- Twisted, and pinned up.

Around the house- Mollie has a cold, so I put together a puzzle with her earlier.

 I am wishing- All of you a Very Happy Thanksgiving!

French Over

Once you've mastered this hair-do, it's super easy to do & it looks awesome! 
(disclaimer: I can't do it very well on myself- it's easier to do on someone else.)

You'll need to know how to french braid for this hairstyle, or dutch braid, if you prefer.

What you'll need. ^

 Find yourself a victim -er- willing participant, I mean. ;)

Part hair over head from ear to ear. Secure the back section out of the way.

I have Mollie put her head in my lap- 'tis easier to braid that way.

French braid starting just above the ear, and continuing over the top of the head.

 About half-way through, I have her sit up, and then I continue braiding down the side of her head.

Secure the braid, and remove the hairband from the back section, comb.

Finished!

Outside my window- There's about an inch of snow on the deck, and it's still coming down.

I am thinking about- Nothing much. I'm just watching the lovely snow fall outside... and writing this post. :D

From the kitchen- We've got leftover chicken and vegetables for broth simmering on the stove.

I am creating- Drew/doodled in my sketchbook this morning.

I am reading- Read 'The Blue Castle' by L. M. Montgomery the other day. SUCH a fun book. ^_^

I am hearing- Pandora Radio. Yeah, I listen to it a lot. :)

I am planning- Hm, I dunno. Maybe I'll do some writing or read a book...

I am wearing- A blue sweater and gray skirt.

My hair is- In a bun.

Around the house- Morgan is pulling Lilia and Amalia up and down the driveway on sleds- behind the four-wheeler.

 I am wishing- That if I did wish for something it would come true. ;)

This is a new favorite outfit of mine- I've been looking for a pair of jeans like this my whole life. Well, practically my whole life...

I got my earrings at Target- and love them. :)
