Rescue Remedies for Back Pain!



Back pain is a common term with a wide variety of situations centered around the spinal column.  The spinal cord, housed by the spinal column is a key messenger for information exchange between the nervous system and the brain.  There's a lot going on back there!  Often complicated and difficult to pin point, back pain can be a manifestation of a wide scope of issues ranging from serious and debilitating to annoying and irritating.  
Here's some ideas for your aching, breaking back!




Back pain may include the following:

1.  An injury or possible degeneration.
- EOs for immediate pain relief and tissue rebuilding properties needed.

Deep Blue or Amend, Birch or Wintergreen

Protocol:  
3 drops Deep Blue or Amend
2 drops White Fir 
3 drops Birch or, Wintergreen

Apply to area of pain followed by 2 to 3 drops of "driver" blend of {equal parts Lavender, Cypress and Marjoram}.  The driver blend "drives" EOs deeper into muscles and tissue.  Apply as needed.


2.  Inflammation infiltrates, adds pressure to nerve.
- EOs for inflammation reduction needed.

Helichrysum (nerve damage) and Frankincense

Protocol:
Apply 2 to 3 drops of each topically to spinal area where nerve may be pinched as needed for pain.  Taking 2 to 3 drops Frankincense under tongue 2x daily helps with inflammation too.


3.  Back muscles try to compensate for the pain, muscle spasms or cramps adding additional pressure and pain.
- EOs to relax muscles and spasms and increase circulation needed.

Lemongrass and Wintergreen

Protocol:
2 drops Lemongrass
2 drops Wintergreen

Apply topically with FCO {fractionated coconut} as needed.
