Get Hoppin! {cookies, bunnies & Easter garland}

...hoppin down the bunny trail...
I love this time of year, Easter's finally here!

We're taking a break from the garden today and getting ready for Easter...yay!  Here's a few quick & dirty (garden speak, sorry) projects for you to run with because I know how busy you are but, you still need to have fun!

Let's start with...

Peanut Butter Double Dove Chocolate Egg Cookies (yum!)

Recipe:

1 C. sugar
1 C. brown sugar
2 sticks butter
1 C. peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
2 eggs
1/2 C. milk
2 t. vanilla
3 1/2 C. flour
2 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
2 pkgs of Kisses or Eggs

Optional - for Easter
2 pkgs of Dove Milk Chocolate Eggs
1 C. coconut shreds w a tiny bit of green food coloring
Sprinkles :)

375 for 10 minutes

Combine and mix sugars, softened butter and peanut butter.  Add eggs, vanilla and milk and mix again.  Lastly, add flour, baking soda and salt, mix together.

Refrigerate for 2 or 3 hours, dough will be a bit sticky.

Some people roll these cookies but I like it rustic, just drop a tablespoon worth on a greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.  Start unwrapping the naughty Dove eggs!

Right out of the oven, nest your eggs and let them melt.  When the chocolate has melted, place a good pinch of green coconut over that melted egg.

Now, you're going to nest the 2nd egg and the melted chocolate will be the perfect anchor to hold the egg upright.  Now sprinkle!

Ta Da!!  You did it!

Plastic Easter Egg Garland
(we all have a bag of these somewhere)

This is such a simple and sweet craft for Easter thanks to Family Chic.  Who doesn't have a box or bag of empty plastic eggs from Easters past?  Dig them out and make one of these in a jiffy before Sunday.

If needed, keep a stubborn egg shut with a little super glue.
I just love these!

Bunny in a Jar

Pretty self explanatory, but such a great idea to pop in an Easter basket or give as a gift to family members, a teacher or your BFF.  Really fun gift for the kids to make for their own BFF's :)  Thanks to Sunscholars for the idea!

And last but not least!

An Easter morning treat...hot chocolate & a peep!
heartless?  noooooo.

But I bet you a dollar your kids will love it!

Happy Wonderful Easter Everyone, go easy on the ham!

XOXO!

Rebecca
